May 11th, 2024, was a day filled with love, laughter, and tears of joy as Courtney and Nathan Beyer tied the knot at the breathtaking Hofmann Ranch in Castroville, Texas. Their wedding was a stunning affair, beautifully decorated with florals that perfectly complemented the natural beauty of the venue.
The bridesmaids were dressed in elegant champagne, while the groomsmen looked sharp in classic black. The day began with James and me capturing those essential detail shots, starting with flat lays that showcased the couple’s carefully chosen accessories. After a playful battle with the wind and some persistent flies, we managed to arrange the perfect setup, resulting in beautifully composed shots that highlighted the details of their special day.
As the day progressed, James and I split up to capture the preparations from both perspectives. James, along with our amazing second shooter Cassi, joined the groomsmen for some fun footage as they got ready, shared a few laughs, and enjoyed some whiskey to calm the nerves. Meanwhile, I joined the ladies, and the atmosphere was electric with excitement. The room was filled with laughter, dancing, and heartfelt moments as the bridesmaids celebrated their dear friend, who was just moments away from walking down the aisle.
One of the most touching moments of the day was Courtney’s first look with her father. The emotions were palpable, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. This was followed by a joyful first look with her bridesmaids, where tears of happiness and tight hugs were shared among the group.
Then came the ceremony. Watching each group walk down the aisle was a beautiful sight, but the moment everyone had been waiting for was when Courtney made her entrance. She was absolutely stunning, and as she and Nathan locked eyes for the first time, it was clear that there wasn’t a dry eye in the audience. Their heartfelt vows and the magical kiss sealed their commitment to each other, marking the beginning of their new life together.
As the ceremony concluded, it was time to eat, cut the cake, and celebrate! The reception was a lively affair, with everyone dancing their hearts out. Courtney and Nathan brought a touch of New Orleans to the party, not just with the music but also by incorporating a cherished tradition—the New Orleans wedding march.
What is the New Orleans Wedding March? The New Orleans wedding march is a lively and joyful tradition where the bride and groom lead a parade of guests in a second line, waving handkerchiefs or umbrellas as they dance to the vibrant tunes of a brass band. It’s a celebration of life, love, and new beginnings, and it adds a unique and festive touch to the wedding day.
James and I worked side by side to capture every moment of this vibrant tradition, ensuring that every beat, every step, and every smile was preserved for Courtney and Nathan to look back on.
Being a part of Courtney and Nathan’s wedding day was an absolute privilege. From the moment we arrived at Hofmann Ranch, we could feel the love and joy radiating from this beautiful couple and their loved ones. The day was filled with so many special moments—moments that we were honored to witness and capture. Watching the way Courtney and Nathan looked at each other, the way they laughed together, and the tears of joy they shared with their friends and family—it was truly something special.
We loved every second of being there, not just as photographers and videographers, but as part of the celebration of two people who are so clearly meant for each other. It’s days like this that remind us why we do what we do—because capturing love in all its forms is a joy unlike any other. We are so grateful to have been part of Courtney and Nathan’s journey, and we wish them a lifetime of happiness and love.
